Spirit Statement
​
Ever since I was a little girl, I can remember being surrounded and uplifted by the people of my community, Curve Lake. The sense of belonging and encouragement was ever-present. When they say it takes a village to raise a child, I know this to be true.
​
I eventually made the transition to the big city, which I now call my second home in the National Capital Region. It’s here that I apply the teachings and core values passed down to me throughout my life, integrating them into my everyday actions and decisions.
​
For the past seven years, I’ve dedicated myself to advancing First Nations issues and ensuring Indigenous Engagement and Relations are placed at the forefront of my work. I carry this responsibility with humility, pride, and unwavering commitment.
​
As I look ahead, I welcome the journey before me with open arms and gratitude. I thank the Creator every day for the path I walk, and I carry my community with me in everything I do.
