First Nations Land Management

Act (FNMLA Services)

The First Nations Lands Management Act (FNMLA) was negotiated by 14 First Nations and Canada in 1996 and came into effect in 1999.

This Act forms as a framework to assist First Nations in implementing their own land management outside of the Indian Act.

CIPS works to help First Nations navigate the FNMLA before, during and after implementation.
